Church Management Tools

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 31 October 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms. By creating an account, generating an OBS Tools link, registering a church on the Church Management System (KMS), submitting a prayer request, sending or receiving Member SMS messages, or otherwise using Church Management Tools ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a church or organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

2. What the Service does. The Service provides self-service tools for churches, including: an OBS Control Panel and browser-generated links for Live Display, Live Transcription, Live Captions, and Phone Camera streaming; a Global Songs catalog that operators can search, import from, and submit their own songs to (subject to admin review); a Church Management System (KMS) for registering a church and managing member/congregant records; Member SMS messaging to reach a church's congregation by text; a Prayer Wall for submitting and viewing prayer requests, including a private, personal list only you can see; a Bible Reading Plan tracker; an Image Tool for preparing images used elsewhere in the Service; a Transcript Archive for reviewing past transcripts; embeddable versions of several of these tools that a church or developer can place on their own website; and a Support tab for reporting issues.

3. Accounts, email verification, and OTP. Some features require verifying an email address with a one-time code (OTP) sent to that address, rather than a password. A single verified portal account may be the entry point into several different tools (OBS Tools, Global Songs, KMS, and embeds) — each email you receive says which of these it relates to. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure and for activity that happens through links or sessions tied to it. Do not share OTP codes with anyone.

4. OBS links are bearer links. Once generated, Live Display, Live Transcription, Live Captions, and Phone Camera links work for whoever holds them, without a further login, so that any volunteer operating the service can use them. Treat these links like a password: do not post them publicly. You can request new links at any time if an old one is compromised.

5. Transcription and captions of spoken audio. Live Transcription, Live Captions, and "Transcribe Yourself" convert speech captured by a device's microphone into text using your browser's built-in speech recognition. You are responsible for letting speakers and attendees know that a session is being transcribed or captioned where that notice is appropriate under your own church's practice and applicable law. Transcripts and captions may be imperfect and should be reviewed before being relied on or republished.

6. Global Songs catalog. A song you submit for the shared Global Songs catalog is reviewed by a platform admin before it becomes visible to other churches. By submitting a song, you confirm you have the right to share its lyrics (your own composition, a song you have permission to share, or one you believe to be appropriately licensed) — the Service is not a rights clearinghouse and does not verify licensing on your behalf. Once approved, other churches may import a copy of that song into their own local library; you may withdraw your own unapproved submissions at any time, and a platform admin may correct or remove catalog entries (for example, to fix an error or remove a duplicate).

7. Church Management System (KMS) and member records. Registering a church on the KMS lets that church's administrators enter and manage records about their own members or congregants. As between you and us, the church remains responsible for the accuracy of the data it enters and for having a lawful basis to hold it; we process that data on the church's behalf, to operate the features the church has chosen to use. Do not enter another person's sensitive personal information into a member record without an appropriate basis for doing so.

8. Member SMS messaging. Sending SMS messages to members requires tracking each recipient's consent through the Service's own consent tools, and honoring opt-out ("STOP") requests. Messages are delivered through a third-party SMS gateway and may be subject to message-credit limits shown in your church's account. You are responsible for using phone numbers you collect lawfully and only for the purposes your members agreed to.

9. Image Tool. Uploaded images are checked for file-type safety before being processed or displayed elsewhere in the Service. Images you upload remain your (or your church's) content, used only to provide the feature you uploaded them for.

10. Prayer Wall and other submitted content. Content you submit to the Prayer Wall (public or kept private to you), Support tickets, or edited transcripts ("Your Content") remains yours. A private prayer is visible only to you; a public one is reviewed before appearing on the wall, and you may choose to share your own private list with others yourself (for example over WhatsApp) — the Service never does this on your behalf. You grant the Service a limited license to store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate the features you used to submit it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, discloses someone else's sensitive personal information without consent, or infringes another's rights.

11. Embedding tools on your own website. Several tools (including OBS Tools, Global Songs, the Prayer Wall, the Bible Reading Plan, and Verse of the Moment) can be embedded on a church's or developer's own website. An embedding domain must be approved before an embedded tool will load there. You are responsible for how an embedded tool is presented on your own site and for that site's own compliance with applicable law.

12. Third-party services. Some features rely on third-party providers: camera streaming uses VDO.Ninja; some media may be embedded from Google Drive or YouTube; SMS messages are delivered via a third-party SMS gateway; email delivery (OTP codes, transcript exports, support tickets) is sent via a third-party mail provider. Your use of those embedded or connected services is also subject to that provider's own terms.

13. Children. The Service is intended for church administrators, volunteers, and congregants operating in an adult capacity. It is not directed at children, and prayer requests, member records, or transcripts should not be used to submit a child's personal information without a parent or guardian's involvement.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability. The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee transcription or caption accuracy, uninterrupted availability, SMS delivery, or that any link or session will never be misused by someone who obtains it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to use it in the preceding 12 months.

15. Fingerprint or face lock (Bible Study app). In the Bible Study phone app you can turn on a lock that asks for your phone's fingerprint, face or screen lock after you have been away from the app for the time you choose. You must first be signed in with your e-mail, and you can turn the lock off in your profile at any time. Your fingerprint or face is checked by your phone. We never receive or keep it: we keep only a public key that proves the check came from your phone, a label for the phone and the dates it was set up and last used. Deleting your account deletes these keys. The lock protects the app on your phone. Anyone whose fingerprint, face or screen lock is saved on your phone can open it, so keep your phone's own security in your hands. If the lock cannot be used, sign in again with an e-mailed code.

16. Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself in the Bible Study app (Profile, then E-mails and my data, then Delete my account). We ask you to confirm with an e-mailed code, or with your password if you set one. Deleting an account cannot be undone. Deleting removes your account and sign-in, your reading plans and progress, your notes, highlights and saved verses, your group membership (a group you started passes to another member, or ends if you were its only member), and your fingerprint-lock keys. The deletion screen explains what happens to any church you registered, and lets you choose. Copies may remain in routine backups until those expire, and in security logs and counts that do not identify you. Records a church administrator entered about you are controlled by that church. You can also ask us to delete your account through Support.

17. Changes to these terms. We may update these Terms as the Service changes — including when a new tool is added. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

18. Contact. Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Support tab or to the church administrator's contact address shown in the app.
